Traveling in the fall means thinking beyond the destination. When an itinerary includes cooler cities, outdoor excursions, or evenings that call for an extra layer, deciding what to pack becomes part of the planning process. The key is choosing pieces that work for different moments throughout the trip, layer easily, and feel just as appropriate for a day of exploring as they do for dinner. A well-made cashmere sweater can be one of the most versatile items in your suitcase.

With that in mind, LERET LERET introduces Edition VIII, the latest installment in its cashmere collection, featuring 12 new designs, fresh colors, and a new silhouette: the brand’s first V-neck sweater. The collection arrives just as travelers begin planning fall getaways and looking for pieces that balance comfort, versatility, and timeless style.

A Versatile Layer for Travel

Founded by siblings Edouard, Andrea, and Alesia Leret, LERET LERET has built its identity around a wardrobe classic: the cashmere sweater. The brand’s philosophy centers on creating timeless designs intended to transcend seasons and trends.

Edition VIII introduces 12 designs, numbered No. 93 through No. 104, made from 100% Mongolian cashmere and produced in Mongolia. The collection maintains the relaxed fit and unisex appeal that define the label while introducing new options for those looking to refresh their wardrobe with enduring essentials.

The standout addition is the V-neck sweater, a silhouette the brand introduces after seven years. The design also responds to requests from longtime customers. For travelers, its versatility makes it an easy piece to style: wear it over a T-shirt for a day of sightseeing or layer it over a button-down shirt for a more polished look.

Among the collection’s standout pieces is a butter-yellow sweater featuring rabbits, one of Andrea Leret’s favorites this season. Inspired by needlepoint, the design reflects the brand’s interest in craftsmanship and handmade objects, translating that reference into cashmere.

The rabbit motif also speaks to the family’s love of animals and nature. It brings a distinctive detail to a classic knit, offering an option for travelers who want to add personality to their outfits without sacrificing versatility.

What to Pack for a Fall Getaway

When packing for a cooler destination, choose pieces that work together and can adapt to changing temperatures throughout the day. A cashmere sweater can serve as a midlayer beneath a coat, pair with trousers for a day exploring the city, or complete a more relaxed look for a weekend away.

The best approach is to consider the destination’s forecast and the activities on your itinerary. In colder weather, cashmere works as part of a layering system with appropriate outerwear, while on milder days, a sweater worn over a T-shirt or button-down may be all you need. Its ability to pair with everyday staples also makes it easier to create multiple outfits without overpacking.

With Edition VIII, LERET LERET continues to expand its numbered archive of collectible designs, introducing new silhouettes and personal references while staying true to its core aesthetic. For travelers looking to invest in something that moves effortlessly from one season to the next, the collection offers a reminder that some of the most useful items in a suitcase are also the ones worth keeping for years to come.
