Lights that Warm the City

Throughout the holiday season—until the first days of January 2026—the Zócalo becomes a radiant stage where every historic building seems to tell a luminous story. The monumental tree and festive décor envelop the square, while the traditional Verbena Navideña offers music, gastronomy, and artisanal treasures.

A Mexican Christmas in Dance

Chapultepec Castle transforms into an open-air theater for Navidades en México, a production by the Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández that journeys through posadas, carols, and cherished traditions. Three vibrant acts of color, music, and exquisite costumes bring to life a celebration that blends history with the charm of the season. Until December 30.

A Winter of Dreams and Snow

The National Dance Company and the Orchestra of the Palacio de Bellas Artes present The Nutcracker at the Auditorio Nacional, where a renewed production and 240 performers infuse the classic with near-cinematic energy. For a more intimate experience, the Centro Universitario Cultural in Coyoacán offers its own rendition with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Arts, running through January 11, 2026.

Aromas that Welcome the New Year

In its 5th edition, the Three Kings’ Bread Festival gathers traditional and contemporary versions of Rosca de Reyes, along with comforting drinks like coffee, cacao, and Mexican chocolate. It’s a feast for food lovers who cherish this delicious and symbolic ritual. Admission is free, and Huerto Roma Verde hosts the event on January 3 and 4.
