La Cuadra San Cristobal

A new site of art and architecture by the legendary Luis Barragan. La Cuadra opens its doors to immerse visitors in the aesthetics and legacy of the famed Mexican architect in an environment designed for reflection and creativity.

Built in the late 1960s as a private hacienda, this space is the beginning of a project that seeks to preserve its essence while developing as a cultural destination. Among the activities that can be found are: a permanent exhibition of the architect, a gallery with design pieces and archives, a library and a studio. To visit it you must book in advance from their website.

FYJA Polanco Flower Festival

It takes place from April 3 to 6 and is the only flower and garden festival of its kind in Mexico. This is its sixth edition and the central theme will be “Gardens of the Future”. The festival seeks to raise awareness about the importance of the plant world, awaken interest in its knowledge and spread its benefits, as well as celebrate Mexico’s floral and botanical tradition through gardening, horticulture, landscape design and floral design.

The festival starts at Parque América, on Avenida Horacio, in Polanco, and runs through the surroundings of the neighborhood. One of the most attractive showcases is on Masaryk Avenue where luxury stores fill up and transform their facades with flowers.
