The French Ritual That Comes Straight to Your Room

At Sofitel Mexico City Reforma, the classic café-croissant becomes a high-pastry experience designed to be enjoyed without leaving your room.

Who doesn’t love ordering breakfast to their room and not having to leave the comfort of bed? At Sofitel Mexico City Reforma, that little luxury takes on a French dimension with La Haute Croissanterie x Nespresso “Please Disturb,” an experience available through December 15, 2026, pairing freshly baked croissants with coffee in three combinations designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace.

The experience draws on one of the simplest rituals of the French art de vivre—coffee and a croissant—and elevates it into the realm of fine pastry. Guests can order any of the pairings to their room or suite throughout the day, whether to start the morning, take an afternoon break, or end the day with something sweet.

Among the options is Le Brûlé, which pairs a Cappuccino Mousse Brûlée with a Crispy Honey Cream Croissant, bringing together almond, honey, and orange alongside the coffee’s notes. L’Épicé takes a more intense approach, pairing Spicy Chocolate Coffee with a Coffee-Choco Exotic Croissant, combining dark chocolate and coffee with passion fruit and a subtle touch of Sichuan pepper.

For those who prefer something fresher, Le Tonique brings together an Iced Orange Espresso Tonic and a Paris-Brest Croissant. Hazelnut and praline meet the bright acidity of citrus, the coolness of iced coffee, and the bitterness of tonic water.

Part of the appeal lies in how the experience is served: each pairing is delivered directly to the room, with some finishing touches prepared on the spot, from a brûléed topping to a citrus mist or a final touch of chocolate and pepper. These small gestures turn what could simply be breakfast into a more memorable part of the stay.

The collaboration is part of an international edition of La Haute Croissanterie x Nespresso, available through December 15 at a selection of Sofitel hotels around the world. In Mexico City, in addition to the Please Disturb experience, the pairings can be enjoyed at Sofitel Café—even if the idea is simply to stop by for a coffee and a little indulgence.

For those who believe some of the best moments of a trip can happen without ever leaving the room, this is a good excuse to put the do not disturb sign on pause—at least for a moment—and let the coffee and croissant come knocking instead.
